The sportsbook at SportingBet.com is super well organized. The homepage welcomes you with clear buckets of popular items. There, you’ll find highlight coupons, in play options, and upcoming events. The layout on SportingBet.com really makes it a breeze to hop right into it and get to what you’re looking for.
Across the top bar of the sportsbook, you’ll find a lineup of major sports. At the tail end of that lineup, there is a “more sports” button which will offer you another 12 sporting options to wager on. Drilling down into your sport to find your preferred types of wagers is very intuitive and easy.
One thing that jumped out to us right away is the fact that they clearly call out all of the in play action. If you’re looking to place a bet immediately, SportingBet.com will quickly point you in the right direction of events that are in play right that moment. We’re huge fans of this type of layout so that clients don’t have to go searching for the in play action.
Sports You Can Bet On
SportingBet.com offers a very solid lineup of sports that you can bet on. While their sportsbook isn’t the largest that we’ve ever seen online, it’s also definitely not the smallest either. In total, you’ll find 24 different sports that you can wager on. We’ve provided a list below of the different options that you can wager on.
Note: The list below shows all sports and events that were live on their website at the time of this review. SportingBet.com only includes sports in season or with active bets available. We’ll update this list from time to time to keep it as current as possible. If your sport of choice is out of season and you don’t see it on this list below, be sure to check back on SportingBet’s website during the sport’s season to see what wagers they offer at that time.
We found the user interface at SportingBet.com to very clean and super easy to use. None of their web pages are overly busy with ads. Navigation on the site was easy, and we never struggled to find what it was we were searching for.
Across the top of the sportsbook, you’ll find a bar with all of the major sports that they offer betting on. Once you select your sport of choice, SportingBet.com will take you to a page that will show you all of your betting options for that sport at that time. The site also does a killer job of letting you know upcoming events for that sport that you can’t wager on yet but will be able to soon.
There were a couple of things that we really liked about the user interface on SportingBet.com. The first of these was the fact that they can display the odds in three different manners. They offer fractional, decimal, or American displays. You can easily toggle between these in the top right corner of any wagering page within the sportsbook. This is a very nice touch, and we wish that more online sportsbooks would follow suit.
The second thing that we really enjoyed was the quick links that they offer. You’ll find the quick links in the top left corner of the sportsbook. These quick links can take you to games that are currently in play, and they can also give you a preview of the next five races within the UK. Lastly, the quick links can point you immediately to all of the football and tennis matches taking place that day. Overall, SportingBet.com’s quick links are a great addition to the site.
The speed and responsiveness of SportingBet.com were very snappy. We didn’t find any lag as we surfed through the website for this review. All pages, wagers, and games loaded quickly without any issues. SportingBet.com has done a great job making sure that their site speed is up to snuff.
SportingBet.com has a solid lineup in their casino lobby to go along with their stout lineup of sporting bet options. In the casino lobby at SportingBet, you’ll find a wide variety of gaming options. On top of a great selection, SportingBet.com’s casino also has some pretty slick graphics on their games.
You shouldn’t have an issue finding a game that you like on SportingBet.com’s casino. In total, SportingBet.com offers 34 table games, 224 slots, 16 jackpots, 8 versions of video poker, and 13 live dealer games. If you can’t find something that you like in that large lineup, then you’re one picky player! Overall, we’re impressed with the large amount of casino game options that SportingBet.com brings to the table.
We’re happy to report that SportingBet.com offers branded games for some of their slots. We found branded games such as “Robin Hood,” “Batman,” and “Tarzan.” We’re huge fans of online casinos that offer branded games as opposed to knock offs. We find knock off games to be a bit cheap and usually cheesy. At an online casino offering knockoffs, you might find “Batboy” as opposed to “Batman.” It is close, but no cigar.
The graphics on the casino games at SportingBet.com were very nice. You can tell that the team at SportingBet spent some money on these games and did not scrimp. Often, casinos are afterthoughts for online sportsbooks, and the selection and quality of games showcase that. At SportingBet.com, this is definitely not the case.
We were super pumped to see that SportingBet.com offered live dealer games! We’re seeing live dealer games grow rapidly in popularity. Live dealer games are a great option for people that want more interaction with games or for folks that trust things a little more when it takes place in an actual casino. You’ll find some great options in their live dealer section including Roulette, Poker, and Blackjack.
As a whole, SportingBet.com offers a great lineup of options in their casino section. Their wide selection, live dealer options, and game graphics offer a great lineup to their players. We’re definitely excited to keep an eye on what SportingBet.com does next with their online casino!
Deposit and Withdrawal Options
At the time of this review, SportingBet.com offers you ten different methods to deposit your cash onto their site. They offer many major options such as Paypal, credit card, and bank transfers. For your convenience, we’ve provided the full lineup of deposit methods below.
While SportingBet.com offers a pretty good lineup of deposit options, we’d like to see them add a couple more that are trending in the industry right now. Notably, we think that it would be great if SportingBet would work with Bitcoin and Skrill. With the addition of these two options, SportingBet.com would have a well-rounded lineup of deposit methods.
Currently, you’ll find six different withdrawal options on SportingBet.com. Major options such as bank transfer and Paypal are offered as well as some others. We’ve provided you the full list of withdrawal options below for your convenience.
We’d definitely like to see SportingBet.com offer some more withdrawal options to their lineup. Their current set of options isn’t that wide and is smaller than many other online sportsbooks and casinos. Hopefully, SportingBet.com will offer up some more options in the near future.
Bonuses and Promotions
Like many other online sportsbooks and casinos, SportingBet.com offers some bonuses and promotions to help attract and keep players. This is a great promotion if you’re betting 5+ leg accumulators on football.
SportingBet.com offers a promotion that we have not seen out there too often. Under this promotion, SportingBet will offer you a cash price to buy your wager back before your bet has finished. This option can be great if you ever feel like the tide has turned against your team. Be sure to check out their site to learn more about the terms and conditions of this offer.

Each of their members is given ten free spins on the game of the week each and every week. As the name suggests, the game of the week is changed weekly. We’re a huge fan of this promotion. Definitely be sure to take advantage of this one if you’re going to play at SportingBet.com.
Summer Slots Spin-Off
If slots are your thing, SportingBet.com also has a current promotion running just for you. As part of their Summer Spin-Off promotion, you can earn up to 25 free spins. You’ll also be entered into a prize drawing that includes some great prizes like a GoPro camera or £500 cash.

SportingBet.com offers what we consider to be the trifecta of customer service options. Clients can reach out to their customer service team via live chat, telephone, or email. We’re HUGE fans of online casinos that offer this trifecta of options as it gives clients several easy and convenient ways to get in touch should they have an issue or question. We give SportBet.com two thumbs up for their list of customer service contact options.
If you’re looking to email SportingBet.com, just follow the links on the website to get to their online form. Once you fill it out, they should be back in touch with you very quickly. While doing our review of SportingBet.com, we fired off a couple of emails to them with questions, and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly they got back to us. All of our questions were answered in an appropriate manner. Email contact can be a great method if you’re not looking for immediate help or answers.
Live chat is also available on the website. The live chat icon is displayed prominently on many pages across the website. You can also find it if you get to the “Contact Us” page on the site. To test things out, we utilized the live chat functionality at several points during the course of our review of SportingBet.com. We found the response time to be quick and the information that we were given was accurate and helpful. Live chat is a great option if you need answers or assistance in a more timely fashion.
Lastly, you’re able to contact SportingBet.com via telephone. SportingBet offers up six different telephone numbers for different locations. Phone numbers for the UK and Canada are toll-free which is a bonus is you live in those countries. For your convenience, we’ve provided the six different phone numbers for SportBet.com customer service below:
- UK: 0800 0280348 (Toll-Free)
- Canada: 1800 7649804 (Toll-Free)
- Finland: +358 942450416
- Sweden: +46 852500166
- Norway: +47 21950180
- Singapore: +65 31583907
We did notice one thing about SportingBet.com customer service that could use improvement. At this time, SportingBet does not offer a full 24/7 customer service. At this time, they offer customer service between the hours of 10:00 AM – 20:30 PM GMT. While this is a great start, it still leaves 13.5 hours of the day without customer service being available. It is rare to find an online sportsbook or casino that is not offering 24/7 customer service in this competitive market.
We’d strongly suggest that SportingBet.com gets on this train so that they can be reached by their clients no matter what time of day it is. The currently available hours are great for those living in Europe but are not nearly as handy for those living in other places such as Canada or Singapore. Hopefully, SportingBet.com will get on the 24/7 customer service train soon to help improve the experience for their customers.

- Card deposits
- eWallets accepted

Reports of poor customer service has led to issues with account verification at Sportingbet. We suggest checking out out betting deposit options page for an alternative bookmaker.
Fast Bank Transfer
Markets & Odds
Wide range of markets & odds
What sports are offered?
- Selection of around 35 sports
- Virtual betting
- 100+ odds on popular markets
- Limited live streams shown
It’s a shame that Sportingbet have trust issues with punters because when it comes to the amount of markets and odds available on site they actually do a pretty good job.
Some live streaming is available and there’s plenty of markets too choose from, especially on popular sports.
Sporting Bet price up events from all of the following sports:
- Alpine Skiing
- American Football
- Aussie Rules
- Combat Sports
- Cross Country Skiing
- Formula One
- Horse Racing
- Ice Hockey
- Rugby League
- Rugby Union
- Ski Jumping
- Water Polo
There are few other bookmakers who boast as long a list of covered sports as Sporting Bet.
The company have all of the major sports you would expect but are then one of just a small handful of firms that also price up events from sports like water polo, floorball and bandy.
On top of that, too, Sporting Bet offer punters a dedicated virtual sports section of their website but do not cater for betting.
Once you pick a chosen sport, you will find that Sporting Bet offer markets for an impressive number of different tournaments, competitions and matches from around the world.
Their selection of markets for each individual event is good, too, if a little uneven. What we mean by that is that whilst a major football match can boast well over 50 markets, a smaller game from a lower profile sport may only have three or four. That’s nothing you don’t see from other bookmakers, however.
Live stats, scores & streaming lacking
Is live betting offered?
- Dedicated in-play area
- Comprehensive range of sports
- Animations & scores
- Some live streaming
Again… it’s a massive disappointment that players report having issues with getting their accounts limited and verified at Sportingbet because their in-play section compares well against it’s competitors.
The bookie take events from a wide selection of different sports in-play, with football and tennis both being particularly well-served in their dedicated in-play section.
Where Sporting Bet’s in-play betting service really excels is in the in-play interface provided to punters.
For each in-play event a live scoreboard is displayed above the available markets, whilst further features can be found in the ‘Media’ section of the interface to the right of the page. Those features can – depending on the event in question – include team line-ups, a live match tracker and even live streams.
Whilst good, Sportingbet’s in-play area doesn’t compare to the very best out there.
£15 back up bet
- £15 back up offer
- Free bet refund if first bet loses
- No bonus if first bet wins
- Much better offers available elsewhere
That’s almost it for our Sporting Bet review, but before we wrap it up let’s take a second to look at the company’s welcome promotion.
Brand new Sporting Bet customers are eligible for a £15 ‘Back-up bet’ if their first real money wager with the company is a losing one. That free bet can be earned in the following way:
- Go to Sporting Bet and register (but don’t seek a better offer via the link below).
- Make a deposit to that new account of at least £10
- Place a first bet at odds of evens or greater, up to a max of £15
- If the bet loses, you will be credited with a free bet worth the value of your stake up to that maximum £15
- Winnings from free bet, minus stake, will be withdrawable straight away
It’s not the best offer from Sportingbet because if you win you get no bonus at all. When compared vs the top betting deals it falls short.
Here’s our overall take on things…
Our Verdict of Sportingbet
Avoid this bookmaker
OUR RATING FOR:
It’s a story of two halves with Sporting Bet.
One the one side you’ve got the fact that the service they provide, in terms of markets and features, compares well against other bookmakers.
However, on the other side you’ve got player complaints about accounts being limited and verification problems when trying to withdraw.
The new customer bonus is also pretty underwhelming in that it’s only £15 (most bookmakers are a minimum of £30) and if you first bet wins you don’t get any benefit from the bonus whatsoever.
In our opinion they’re only worth a 2 star rating and that means we don’t recommend you sign up with them.
Sportingbet Casino is an online casino that gives every kind of gambler a way to play. The casino is powered mostly by NetEnt, but they do offer some games from other software platforms like Betsoft and Playtech. They are licensed in the prestigious jurisdictions of both Alderney and Antigua.
One of the best things about Sportingbet Casino is the fact that they use multiple software platforms. Although they do not offer every game from each provider, the variety they do have is larger than that of many other casinos. Their slots are the most diverse section. The games are some of the most modern video slots around, ranging from the thrillling Jack Hammer to dark Dracula slot. The games can all be customized to fit any bankroll.
Table game players have a total of 18 games to choose from. However, the vast majority of Sportingbet Casino's table games fall under the category of either blackjack or roulette. There are a total of 7 blackjack variants and 7 roulette variants, some of which come from different software providers and have different rules. The remaining games are baccarat and three casino pokers.
Video poker lovers are quite limited with a total of only 7 games. The number of actual variants Sportingbet Casino offers, however, is 5. Jacks or Better, Deuces Wild, and Joker Poker are included, as well as two unique games called Video Poker Sidebet and Fixed Odds Poker. Although there aren't a lot of video poker games, these last two are hard to find elsewhere.
If you want to have a more realistic online gaming experience, you can try Sportingbet's 24/7 live casino. Players can just click the Live Casino tab and instantly join a game of baccarat, roulette, or blackjack. Upon opening up a table, a beautiful dealer will greet you and allow you to place your bets. With the interactive chat feature, you can even talk to other players at the table or the dealer herself. It's the closest thing to a land-based casino you can find.
Sportingbet Casino understands that players need to be able to easily get in touch with a customer support representative if a problem arises. As such, they offer players three methods. The first and most convenient is live chat, a 24/7 online service that lets players get in touch with support staff in a matter of seconds. Another fast option is telephone, which is available for several countries, but only toll-free in about a third of them. Players may also use the contact form to get replies via email, but the responses are not instant.
Security and Fairness
By reading their FAQ, it's clear that Sportingbet Casino holds player safety in high regard. They have ensured that all information sent to them is kept in the strictest of confidence through various technologies. For instance, anytime you send them sensitive data for banking, registration, or verification, it is obscured with encryption. Their servers then prevent anyone from accessing your data with a secure firewall.
Sportingbet Casino also understands the importance of a fair game. The live games are clearly fair since the entire game takes place before your eyes. Players can also rest assured that the virtual games are random, as well. The Alderney Gaming Commission mandates that online casinos provide proof of randomness on a regular basis. Sportingbet Casino relies on the software providers to provide these randomness audits; as such, they are not posted on the Sportingbet website. However, the games they use are all backed by major software providers that are continually verified as fair.
Sportingbet has been around since 1998 and now comes under the same parent company as Bwin, Foxy Bingo and partypoker. GVC Holdings is listed on the London FTSE 250 Stock Exchange and has its license from the Isle of Man.
Sportingbet has over 700,000 users across 26 countries. Besides its sportsbook, this online bookmaker also has casino, live casino and games at your disposal online and via mobile. Their mobile betting in particular has become one of their major strengths with great investment made in an elevated user experience. For novices, Sportingbet have an informational guide to help you walk through the initial steps in betting as well as a glossary to help you sort through all of the terms of their Sportingbet bonus. As for playing responsibly, the site links directly to GamCare, which advocates for responsible betting practices across the board.
The result of the OpenOdds Sportingbet review
After a careful analysis of Sportingbet’s offerings, and compared to the best online bookmakers on OpenOdds, we see Sportingbet as one of the better bookmakers in the middle of the pack. We give Sportingbet an 87 out of 100 for their diverse variety of sports markets, extensive live and mobile offerings and the fact that they form part of a publicly listed holding company. While there is still room for improvement, it is clear to see that this brand has a great deal of potential, especially when you take a look at their Sportingbet bonus.

OpenOdds’ detailed operator rating: Sportingbet sportsbook review
At OpenOdds, to compare all online bookmakers we use the same list of criteria for all of our bookie reviews. This helps us give an accurate comparison. These are the ten categories that make up the basis for the OpenOdds sportsbook review:
01.Bonuses:generous welcome bonus
Sportingbet's Bonus Program9/10 Punkte
- £50 welcome offer
- Qualifying bet of £10
- Second bonus requires 5x £15 bets
- Third tier requires 10x £10 bets
- All of this needs to be done within 14 days
In terms of bonuses, the Sportingbet bonus has plenty of offers to whet your betting appetite. The initial welcome offer entitles you to up to £50 per user and is divided between three different parts. The first, once you opt into the offer and place a sports bet of at least £10, you’ll then be eligible for a second bonus. The second bonus amount is basically an average stake of the last five bets you make in your account, so if you place 5 bets worth £15 each, you’ll get £15. And as the final tier, the bonus amount will be the average of the ten bets of at least £10. In order to qualify for the Up to £50 Welcome Offer, you need to place a qualifying bet of at least 1.5 or greater and the multiple bets are subject to that same odds minimum over each leg. You just have to make sure you do all of this within 14 days. It may seem like a tall order, but for the most frequent and seasoned punters, this is certainly an ideal bonus for you when compared to the best free bets offers.
02.Customer services:Plenty of ways to get in touch
Sportingbet's Customer Services8/10 Punkte
- Telephone, live chat and e-mail support
- Comprehensive FAQ page
- Calling hours between 10:00 and 20:30
- Other methods are open 24/7
While the exact customer service hours are not at all specified, you can reach the multilingual customer service centre in Dublin via telephone, live chat, or email. The customer service page is easily reached from the homepage, and you can choose between tabs on the left hand side to navigate between the comprehensive FAQs and the ‘contact us’ section. The FAQs are particularly helpful with simple questions about how to play or the rules of various types of sports betting. Customer service is available in multiple languages, and is open between 10am and 20:30pm GMT. Outside of those hours we recommend using the contact form to send an email. A representative will get back to you as soon as possible with helpful answers. After all, the online sports betting industry relies on strong customer service to keep their punters happy.

As for the more traditional sports like football, there’s betting available on 800 leagues worldwide, and an average of 900 in-play matches for you each and every week. Search through Italian, German, and Brazilian leagues as well as leagues all throughout the Americas. We think the depth of football leagues offered is pretty impressive on its own.

Besides this, you can also use the Paysafecard and money transfers for deposits, Neteller, Skrill, Laser, Switch, and Delta. PayPal is also accepted. Be careful though if you prefer using Skrill and Neteller for funding your bets; you may not be able to qualify for promotions using those payment methods so you may want to consider using an alternative payment method. The standard processing time for transactions depends on your method of payment. Sportingbet’s average betting margin is definitely on the higher side in a for example, the betting margin on football is 7.7% and 8.3% on ice hockey. Those higher margins are, nonetheless, offset by lower betting margins in basketball (at 4.7%), baseball (at 4.3%), and American football (5.4%). They also will post updates regarding odds via Twitter, giving you another impetus to be checking the odds. Considering these are the odds on the most traditional markets, you can be sure to find some great odds offerings on the more niche sports markets as well.

How easy is Sportingbet to use?9/10 Punkte
- Easy to access the required information

- Great app available for iOS and Android
The website’s user interface makes it incredibly easy to access your bet slip. The simple layout makes it easy to see all of the different tabs and sports offerings. The customer service tab is easy to find and a breeze to use. The white writing on the baby blue background makes for a pleasing aesthetic and the content is clear to read. This is undoubtedly a useful consideration as punters like their information to jump out at them as they rush to place their last minute bets. You can also see the Sportingbet social media offerings. Click through the tabs for YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter right from the homepage and have customer service available on that tab. The website is the 21st most-frequented online bookmaker.

It has lots of features conducive to excellent playing from your iOS or Android-powered device. You can log in using TouchID, which is advantageous for those who don’t like having multiple passwords. Sportingbet's Live Betting Service8/10 Punkte

If you’re a huge in-play punter in international football and tennis, you’re definitely in good hands with Sportingbet. They have extensive live markets for both WTA and ATP events, giving you the exact dynamics of the professional tennis tours.

10.Betting limits: Plenty of tools
Sportingbet's Betting Limits8/10 Punkte
- Minimum wager of £0.50
- Maximum is sport dependent
- Blanket cap of £250 000 on winnings
- Endorses responsible gambling
There have been reports of people getting restricted to very low bets at not-so-good odds. This may deter some punters from doing business on Sportingbet. As for betting limits, the minimum bet amount you can place is £0.50, and the maximum bet depends on the sport. However, there is a blanket cap of £250,000 on daily winnings. You’ll also have your betting history available to you so you can make sure all your playing habits are in check. This is because, as with every online bookmaker in the industry, plenty of socially responsible features are implemented to ensure that you’re betting safely.
Our Verdict of Sportingbet:Recommended bookmaker
What have we been able to deduce from the Sportingbet review? First, it’s a great bookie for those who want a fantastic user-experience on mobile with its features that allow for easy navigation, TouchID to enter, and more. On top of that, the in-play offerings are spectacular for those football and tennis specialists. If you’re looking to diversify your in-play strategy with other sports, there’s also plenty to choose from. Is Sportingbet safe? With the SSL encryption, and the guarantee being part of a publicly-listed corporation ensures that Sportingbet is managed by some of the best entities out there in the industry. As we’ve demonstrated in this Sportingbet review, there’s plenty for you to enjoy with this bookmaker, from the Sportingbet bonus to cash-out, so we recommend you add it to your slate of online bookmakers for a maximising sports betting strategy. Go to Sportingbet and open your account
SportingBet was founded in 1997 by Mark Blandford. Headquartered in London, they are now part of the GVC Holdings group, after a 2012 takeover that also involved William Hill and saw Hills buy out Sportingbet’s Australian and Spanish operations. Sportingbet has more than 2.5million registered customers across 200 countries, and claims over 1m bets are placed with them every day. They have also regularly been shirt sponsors of a number of football clubs, the most famous of which is perhaps Wolverhampton Wanderers, though Sportingbet’s name has also been carried in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece.
Deposit & Withdrawals
As expected, they offer the standard payment methods available to bookmakers online these days. Visa/Credit cards being the main port of call, though the ever-popular PayPal is also included, alongside Neteller and Skrill. There are no fees with any of the deposit methods, though there is a minimum deposit, as well as withdrawal. Sometimes transactions may take a little while, but not beyond the expected time frame of three to five days. On our site you will also find information about SportingBet bonus and SportingBet mobile app.
The experience for customers is usually high rated at SportingBet, with ease of contact the main draw-in. The ‘Help & Contact Us’ button is combined in the website’s header next to the search bar. Upon clicking, a pop-up window is displayed, so do be aware to have this enabled. Although the live chat link is covered by the search bar in the pop-up, simply extending the browser gives the correct formatting. As well as live chat, telephone and email is also an option, with the former available in five other countries including Canada, Finland and Singapore, though only from 10am to 8.30pm.

Sporting Bet offer fractional, decimal and american odds formats
The maximum amount that you may win via the Sports betting Facilities within any 24-hour period is, depending on your selected currency, EUR 250,000. If your net win exceeds the Sporting Bet limit on winnings (above) it is your responsibility to be aware that you will not be paid out if your net win exceeds this limit.
The maximum amount that you may withdraw is twenty thousand US Dollars ($20,000) (or the equivalent amount in EUR or GBP currency) every 30 business days.
Types of bets
A little above their competitors, SportingBet usually offers better value on British sports such as football, though be prepared for less kind odds in other sports across the globe. Their basketball odds, as an example, are ones you could probably find much better with other websites. This is also the case with American Football. On the other hand, with some of their other markets, their odds are some of the best around, so do scan the entirety of the website to find what suits you as a better. Their social media also updates odds throughout the day so keep an eye on that as well.
Sporting Bet cover 34 different sports within their online sports betting portal. The main betting offers are within horse racing, football, tennis, cricket and basketball.
This is where SportingBet shines – in particular areas at least. Their live streaming may not be as polished as some of the pioneers of the feature but they have caught up with their competitors in hindsight. Football and tennis seem to be the go-to options in this regard, covering the usual events in these sports but also a little outside the box with the latter when WTA and ATP competitions come to town. The live options are probably Sportingbets’ best selling points.
Live streaming is offered on the site
How easy to the eye is the SportingBet website?
The bright blue background with white text is not very easy on the eye and makes some elements difficult to pick out. The overall colour scheme of a turquoise blue, darker blue, grey and white text makes the sections of the website look quite dis-jointed so from a navigation perspective it takes some getting used to.
The navigation menus are a bit over the top. You have the products menu at the top part of the page but then you have the sports menu which is then replicated three times on the home page. It is placed under the main products menu, under this again in the middle section which shows all odds and then once again in the left sidebar.
It just makes you wonder which “football” link you should pick. Weak navigation in our opinion.
Loading of all pages is super quick which is great and in terms of content they do have some nice tools which can found at the bottom of the left side column and include a livescores and statistics tool.
So where SportingBet lose out on the look and feel and navigation, they make up for with this statistics tool. We would recommend any sports bettor to go and take a look at this tool.
It is beautifully laid out, easy to navigate and contains data across a wide range of sports with excellent graphics.
Does SportingBet offer competitive odds or the best odds in a certain sport?
This is something to look closely at if you are a football punter. In terms of overall betting margin then SportingBet are not very competitive with an average ofv 5.8% across all sports, and it gets worse when we come to football with a whoppping 7.7% margin. This is one of the highest and worst margins we have seen offered on football.
However there is something to take into account. SportingBet offer football betting in 75 regions across the world, and, in many countries there are betting opportunities you will not find with any other online sportsbook. These lesser leagues will of course have higher margins as they contain risk for the bookmaker which drives the average margin high. For main leagues they are more competitive at under 5%.
How good is the market coverage and selection of bets on SportingBet?
At any time on the SportingBet site you will find between 30,000 – 50,000 markets/bets to choose from. As we mentioned in terms of odds margins they are not the best, but when it comes to markets, they have one of the strongest offers of all online sportsbooks.
Football is the main market with offers in more than 75 countries, including some obscure leagues like El Salvador, Honduras and Jamaica to name just a few.
There are also a wide range of bets on offer including handicap bets, combination bets and a full range of minute and fast market bets.
How good is In Play betting on SportingBet?
The In-play section of the site is actually easier to use with a simple navigation. The colour scheme is also easier on the eye.
In the In-play interface you have a series of tabs. You have the “Event View” where you can see all markets for a single event. You have the “Multi View” where you can select a range of events to view in one screen. Finally you have the “Calendar” view where you can view by individual sport and it gives you the option to tick a box which lets you filter only the sports that are of interest to you.
What selection of bonuses and re-occuring promotions does SportingBet have?
At the time of writing SportingBet were not offering any bonuses on their site.
How easy is it to deposit and withdraw funds with an SportingBet account?
SportingBet offer a wide range of payment methods both for deposit and withdrawal. These include VISA and Mastercard credit and debit cards. You can also use Maestro as a payment method and there is also the option to use your favorite e-wallet including Paypal, Skrill and Neteller.
As well as these you have other e-payment options like Trustly and paysafecard as well as a new method which is “Fast Bank Transfer”
This is one area of the site that is better than other online sportsbooks.
How friendly and fast is the SportingBet customer service and live chat service?
Well we could not tell how fast they are as we could not get a response by phone or live chat within a 5 minute period. Some of our site users had the same issues…….Richard actually contacted us and told us about his experience.
He was trying to find information on “Promotions” but the link in the main menu led to a blank page. He used the Live Chat to try and get some information, and twice there was no response within 7 minutes (this is a long time when using Live Chat)
He then said that he contacted them by phone and was immediately put on hold and nobody answered within 4 minutes, so he got frustrated and hung up.
BookmakerAdvisor are very adamant that they give totally impartial reviews, so it is important for us to show all elements of an online sports betting and bookmaking site.
We will check this in further follow ups but for now this looks a weak area of the SportingBet site.

We are continuing to review various bookmakers with the single purpose to help punters make more informed decisions when looking where to wager.
Today we will be examining both - positive and negative sides for one already established player on the betting market. Today we will be reviewing the well-known bookmaker Sportingbet which is one of the market leaders and has a strong reputation in the betting world. Sportingbet has been around for well over 20 years and it has over 700 000 members across 26 countries. The team behind Sportingbet possess an enormous amount of industry knowledge and experience and it has proven that they know how to build an incredible bookmaker, acquire and keep happy customers.
In our bookmaker review, we will be assessing the achievements of the Sportingbet team. We will focus on the user experience, customer support, welcome bonus, special offers, betting markets, odds provided and pretty much anything else you can think of.
Read the information below and see all promotions, services and features and decide for yourself whether to join Sportingbet community or no.
The company behind the website is ElectraWorks Limited which is licensed by the Government of Gibraltar and regulated by Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner and also licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission which guarantees that all funds, winnings and etc. are protected by those respected commissions and you can safely deposit and play.
Sportingbet was founded in 1998 and has been around for well over 20 years and as we know the gambling industry is extremely competitive so surly they are doing something better in comparison to other players on the market.
Sportingbet new customer offer
A popular fact is that the new customer’s bonus is one of the main purposes why punters open accounts with various bookmakers. Sportingbet has a promotion for new members named "£10 back up bet- Money back as a free bet" and as usual there are some specific terms and conditions that apply in case you want to take advantage of the offer. For example, you must be over 18 years old and have to cover Sportingbet new customer offer rollover requirements.
To claim the Sportingbet bonus is relatively easy, you have to open a new account and deposit £10 and place a sports bet of up to £10 at odds of 1/1 (2.0) or greater. Then you have to wait until your first bet is being settled and if it is a loss you will receive an extra of £10 funded to your profile as a Free bet which must be used within 7 days or will expire. It is quite important to make a note that the free bet must be used within 7 days of the received date so you avoid any disappointment.
Well, I should be honest and emphasize that there are many other bookmakers available that offer a better welcome bonus in comparison to Sportingbet. Frankly, I am little disappointed by Sportingbet as you would expected a better welcome bonus from such a well-established bookmaker. I assume that sporting bet skipped on the exciting welcome bonus simply because they rely on their strong reputation and brand in the industry to attract a new customer. Nevertheless, in such a competitive market you should be customer-focused and be a little more generous to your new customers especially when you are rewarding them with free bets.
But in the end, if you are keen on trying something new, you can simply open an account and place a tenner and if you are unlucky with your first, bet Sportingbet will fund your account with additional £10 you can use to make up for your loses.

First impression and design of Sportingbet
When you first arrive on the website of Sportingbet, you can see a lot of information, events, odds, promotions and much more. I personally prefer simplicity and believe that so much information sometimes maybe a little overwhelming and can result in customers dropping from the site.
In the main interface, the focus is on placing your bet fast, Sportingbet shows you the most important in-play games available to bet now. You can immediately bet on 3 markets 1x2, Asian handicap and Over/Under. There is a drop-down menu and you can change the market to what you prefer and this feature makes your betting life easy because you can skip the slow search for the markets you are looking for. The drop-down menu will also allow you to quickly change the sport type and find the events you are looking for. That additional drop-down menu certainly helped me to quickly browse to what is available now for in-play betting and quite liked it!
If you scroll down, you can see many pre-game odds and again like in the in-play events you can quickly change the view to find your preferred betting markets and build your bet slip.
On the left, are located all sports covered by Sportingbet and you can search among thousands of events with plenty of available markets to bet on. At the moment when we checked, they were 42000 and that was on a quiet day.
Sportingbet also supports various tools that should make your betting life a lot easier. You can reach all other tools offered by Sportingbet by navigating to the left corner of the page and choosing from: livescore, statistics and result.
On the top of the page, you can also access the Sportingbet casino area, promotions, virtual games and many other entertaining features. Sportingbet website is fully loaded with all sorts of entertaining games, sport betting opportunities and if you decide to open an account you will certainly be happy with the diversity available.
To be honest, the reliability of the site and the humongous choice of sport betting events, casino games and other entertaining activities somehow makes up for the poor welcome bonus offered.
The well-known blue colors of the bookmaker are all over the site and combined with the white and silver, the design looks smooth and pleasant for the eye.
The navigation of the site is really intuitive, and works nice and smooth – I have not experienced any bugs while testing the site and I was impressed by the speed with which Sportingbet was loading the requested information.
Sportingbet Promotion page
Although Sportingbet somehow neglected the new customer offer they did take good care of their existing customers and offer various special offers on a continuous basis. The bookie shows good customer approach with a diversity of bonuses, boosted odds and free spins for casino lovers.
I will just mention some of them such as ''Money back as cash when star player scores'' which gives you the opportunity to build a bet for a pre-match game and if the bet is lost but the star player which Sportingbet pointed for the offer scores a goal anytime in the game, the bookie will give your money back.
"Accumulator insurance" where you have to build bet slip with 5 games and if one of them lose but the rest wins Sportingbet will refund the stake you bet, the offer sounds really good because of everyone has this time when only one game fails the rest.
Many other offers are available just click on the Promotions box and choose from various bonuses.
Other extras supported by Sportingbet
The bookmaker presents many different ways to enhance the time you spend on their website. Sportingbet supports a blog where many media, interviews and news about sports teams, players and tournaments are updated daily.
Rich statistic page where all sports and leagues are detailed and you can take only benefits of it for your betting. Also, live and results pages where you can watch all the games you are interested in.
In the casino area, you can find thousands of games such as slots, roulette, live games and many others.
These features always tilt the players to open an account with some bookmaker and Sportingbet possess all of them.
Open an account with Sportingbet
If you are ready to open an account with the bookmaker, the process is simple and includes several steps you need to complete and it takes a couple of minutes. The process is designed to be easily accomplished and ensure that all users are verified so high-security standards can be maintained.
Firstly, you have to fill your email, password and names, then in step 2, you have to enter your date of birth and currency preference. The final step is to fill your full address and phone number and everything is all set. You can start to bet with Sportingbet and enjoy their rich on events sportsbook.
The whole registration process is easy and you will not face any challenges. Nevertheless, if you need any support there is an extremely well-built FAQ area where you will be able to find the answer to any question you may have.
Bet odds and sports covered by Sportingbet
The bookmaker covers an impressive amount of sports on a daily basis. Over 90 sports are included in the Sportingbet portfolio which is a really high number and for sure not everyone can operate such a large number of sports.
You can find thousands of markets for your favorite sports, players, events and so on.
From traditional sports such as football, horse racing, tennis, basketball to the not so popular like netball, floorball and water polo. Practically, you will always be able to find the sports you are looking for. Do not worry whether Sportingbet will have the sport you are looking for simply focus on placing your winning bets.
The odds which Sportingbet presents are really high and I can honestly say that odds wise they are doing better than most of the European bookmakers. Certainly, that could be one of the reasons why Sportingbet has preferred bookmaker by so many punters and they have been around for so long.
Live betting with Sportingbet
One of the important areas for punters is the in-play betting. Luckily Sportingbet has realized how important is the in-play betting in today’s environment and they have spent lots of time on perfecting that area. There are heaps of events and games available and you will never be bored because there is something to bet on almost 24 hours a day.
Sportingbet has the copyrights to broadcast many football, tennis, basketball and other leagues and you can enjoy live streaming directly on their website. Please note that this function is only available for registered users that have funds deposited in their account. If the game you want to watch live is not with streaming, there is always an animation with the event which is in-play and you will never miss something important, such as a dangerous attack, free kick, penalty etc.
The cash-out feature is an extremely important addition to support in today’s global betting world. Sportingbet is a reputable bookmaker and as you can expect from them they do offer the cash-out option.
I really believe that the cash-out feature has been one of Sportingbet best additions to enhance both in-play and pre-game betting. It’s just brilliant having the chance to cash out a bet that you think is in trouble or to simply lock in a profit.
The concept of the cash-out feature is superb, but I do think that Sportingbet is probably about as good as you are going to find.
Sportingbet opens up more markets than most, accept more sports, allow for a fair profit margin and also provide a quick turnaround of any winnings from your cash out which indeed makes an exceptional place to place your bets.
Sporting bet payment options
Many deposits and withdrawal methods are available with Sportingbet. Although many people use traditional methods such as debit cards and e-wallets (Skrill, Netteler, PayPal etc.) which are fully supported by the bookie.
Sportingbet will surprise you and you will be able to find methods like Apple Pay, Trustly, MuchBetter, Astropay, vouchers and so on. These methods are not that traditional for most bookmakers which emphasize the focus on the customer by Sportingbet.
All deposits are instant, for the withdrawal, you may have to wait for up to 2 business days. The good news is the bookie doesn't charge any fees for all methods both deposit and withdraw.
If you are somewhere or just like to place a bet via your phone Sportingbet developed an intuitive platform designed to provide you with the best possible experience. To download the Sportingbet mobile app just search the App Store on your mobile device for "Sportingbet'' if you use iOS or visit the Google Play Store with your Android device and search for "Sportingbet Sportsbook" and install the app.
On both iOS and Android, you can use all features such as live streaming, cash-out, notifications, casino, custom toolbar and many others. Betting is really easy via the app and you will be happy to use it.
We have examined and listed many of the power features of Sportingbet. In our opinion, the website really deserves your time and if you still don't have an account with the bookmaker you will never be wrong if you open an account with them.
As mentioned above Sportingbet welcome bonus is not that exciting in comparison to what other bookmakers offer, but the platform both for PC and mobile is really outstanding. Further, you will find that there are plenty of on-going special promotions for existing users that will make up for the bookmaker new customer bonus.
In Sportingbet, you can find everything you need from a betting perspective both for sports betting and casino. The sportsbooks support an exceptional number of pre-game and in-play events, provides high odds with decent betting limits and plenty of betting markets. Sportingbet also supports the cash-out option and a great mobile app.
We believe that there is a strong reason why Sportingbet have been already chosen by over 700,000 people who are already signed up and we advise you to open an account to check their platform yourself.
In case you do not like Sportingbet and based on our review you do not feel comfortable to open an account with them - we advise to check our bookmaker offers page where you can find many other bookmaker reviews and offers. Sportingbet are one of the most popular bookmakers in South Africa. They’re also one of the oldest online bookmakers in country, a claim that only a few can make! In this review we are going to have a look at Sportingbet’s site, bonuses, promotions, odds and more. Lets get started.
Sportingbet South Africa
Sportingbet currently have a 100% deposit match bonus up to R2000 on your first deposit, and their wagering terms are very generous. You only need to wager the bonus 3 times at 1.25 or more.
The first deposit bonus has some of the lowest wagering around and punters are only required to wager the bonus 3 times at odds of 5/10 (1.50) or more in order to be able to withdraw the winnings. The current minimum bet is R1 so you’re also welcome to bet with lower wagers at Sportingbet.
Sportingbet Registration is quick and easy on both mobile and desktop, you’ll need to provide a few details like name, surname, email address, physical address and mobile number. The process should not take you more than a few minutes and you’ll be able to access the Sportingbet site in it’s entirety once you’re done.
The Sportingbet Landing page is very different from their previous one. The colours are all Sportingbet and you know immediately that you are on their website. It’s packed full of banners, promotions and features. A great step up from the old site, however it will be a bit jarring for those who aren’t used to change. They’ve also removed all the splash banners and small write ups which were pretty good to read, we’re sure they’ll be incorporating them somewhere else on the site but either way it’s not really an issue.
The events menu (or coupon) on the side contains all the important and upcoming events as well as a breakdown for all available betting markets and events. We hope to see them bring back the more focused highlights like Bulls v Lions or other big match ups, but seeing as how the site is new we’ll have to wait and see how they end up promoting these, because they were very handy!
You can login to your Sportingbet account with your previous Sportingbet details, no nonsense about having to use a new username and password, something which we covered in our Betx Launch overview.
Once logged in you can find all your important account information at the top of the screen, including a new feature called inbox, which we assume will follow what WSB have done with their inbox system.
It’s pretty easy to find what you are looking for on the Sportingbet site, there is no having to click Soccer then a refresh button then the league etc. You simply click what you are interested in and it will load in the centre of the page, which also has a few different options for you to explore when it comes to different markets and league etc.
Sportingbet have a solid mobile site with all the same options available that you’d find on desktop. With most punters betting from their phones we have no trouble recommending their mobile site. It’s up there with the best in South Africa. You can also register on the mobile site quickly and easily from your phone.
The Sportingbet mobile is as slick as one would expect, everything is available at your finger tips and the mobile site is very light on data usage. You can play all the same bets on mobile that you would be able to play on desktop. Cash Out, Auto Cash Out and other features are also available on Sportingbet Mobile.
With 8,000 different betting opportunities every single day across more than 30 different sports, sports betting is where they lead the field compared to other local bookmakers. SB offer great odds, and a variety of markets to bet on, including football, tennis, basketball, horse racing, cricket, rugby union and many more.
There’s such a vast selection that you’ll often find yourself betting on or following sports you’ve never even heard of! The minimum bet on any market is R1.
Sportingbet offer Live betting on over 300 markets on a single game with their unique live betting platform. They also offer Live betting 24-hours a day on the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League matches as well as all the very best international football matches. You can view upcoming live matches in the Sportingbet live betting calendar.
Sportingbet have a streaming service that customers can use to watch matches live while placing bets. While you cannot watch all the sports on offer there are
Sportingbet have the full selection of Betgames, Lucky 5, Lucky 6, Lucky 7, War of Bets, Bet on Poker, Lucky Wheel and more, all running 24 hours a day. They’ve also added Dream catcher and several roulette games which we’ll be looking at below. These games are fast paced and action packed, which will attract many a punter who enjoys lucky numbers or online casino style games.
Dreamcatcher is similar to Betgames, the concept is that there is a large spinning wheel and you have to bet on what numbers you think are going to come up. It’s a nice change from Betgames, which you’ll find at almost every bookmaker these days. We haven’t played it too much but it does look like it’ll be more fun than Betgames as it has a live studio and fun vibe to it. We’ve done a dedicated article about the Dream Catcher game from Sportingbet, if you’d like to know more about how this popular game works.
Sportingbet Roulette and Live Games
Sportingbet have launched their very own (and very good) roulette games. There are 5 different games to choose from and all of them are fully licensed. These games are a real blast and credit to SB for managing to get these licensed, they’re a joy to play and one of the best live roulette experiences in SA.
Bestseller Multi bet
Another new feature is the Bestseller Multi, this is a combination of the most popular bets on the site all bundled into one multi. There was a similar feature on the old site but you had to manually take the bets, the Bestseller Multi automatically does this for you now. A very nice touch indeed.
A feature we stumbled across while putting the site through it’s paces was the “Further options” once you’ve placed a bet, this let’s you get your bet results via sms or email. Nothing groundbreaking but it’s nice that you can pick and choose which bets you’d like to get instant results for. A very nice touch indeed!
Auto Cash Out and Cash Out
Sportingbet were the first bookmaker in South Africa to offer the Auto Cash Out and the traditional cash out features. You can read more about how Auto Cash Out works. Cash out basically allows you to close your bet off early, whether it’s winning or losing.
Sportingbet have kept all of their previous Promotions but have updated the page to give it a very tablet look and feel. We hope that the added space means that we’ll see more promotions added in the future. Current Sportingbet promotions are listed below.
Along side the mobile site, Sportingbet also have an app for both Android and IOS. You’ll need to download the APK though, as it is not available on all devices stores. We have a guide on how to download and install the Sportingbet App if you’d like to know more.
Sportingbet Deposit Methods
Absa, Capitec, EFT, FNB, I-Pay, Investec, Mastercard, Nedbank, OTT, SID, Standard Bank, Visa. Sportingbet are now also accepting 1Voucher!
Sportingbet do accept voucher deposits from 1Voucher. You can purchase 1Voucher at any Pep store nationwide. We expect Sportingbet to add more voucher options for punters in the future. To top up your account with 1Voucher login to your account, go to deposit and select 1Voucher deposit.
Absa, Capitec, EFT, FNB, Investec, Mastercard, Nedbank, Standard Bank, VISA. Withdrawals from Sportingbet typically take 24-48 hours to reflect in your bank account. There are several eWallet withdraws such as Skrill, there have the fastest withdrawal speed and are usually paid on the same day.
Punters do not require a bonus code in order to sign up or claim the 100% deposit match bonus. You just need to register as a new customer to be eligible for the bonus.
Sportingbet Overall Experience
As one would expect the overall experience is a very positive one, the site is a pleasure to use and while there are a few niggles here and there they are most certainly going to be ironed out in the coming weeks. It’s a big step forward for Sportingbet and them keeping things fresh shows that they are keeping up with the times.
It’s always been a pleasure to use any Sportingbet site and this is no different, we certainly recommend you give them look if you don’t have an account there. The R2000 Deposit Match is one of the better ones in South Africa but you won’t find as many promotions as you would at other bookmakers. We highly recommend punters open an account with Sportingbet.
Sportingbet are one of the best online sports betting sites in South Africa. They offer several features like cash out and dream catcher, as well as offering competitive odds. Their betting markets are comprehensive and they also have a mobile app for punters on the move. The Sportingbet sign on bonus has some of the best terms available and the R2000 on offer is very generous, we highly recommended using them as your daily bookmaker.

Among Sportingbet’s weaknesses are limits on sharp bettors and a site that can be slow to load. It also doesn’t offer a mobile app for Android devices. Here we consider Sporting bet’s strengths and weaknesses in more detail.
Sportingbet trust & financial stability
Sportingbet is a secure, reliable option for sports betting. It has been running since 1998 and currently handles over a million bets a day worldwide. The company’s UK division, Sportingbet plc,has its headquarters in London and has been listed on the London Stock Exchange since 2001. Its parent company is GVC Holdings.
Sportingbet (UK) is regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. It’s also a member of the Independent Betting Adjudication Service (IBAS), which adjudicates in the event of betting disputes with customers.
A negative is that Sportingbet has attracted occasional complaints of failing to pay out bonuses, at least until customers contact its customer support division to make a fuss.
The company has also attracted criticism as a result of closing or severely restricting the accounts of successful punters – although it’s far from alone in this respect. Imposing limits on sharp bettors is a common, albeit unfair, practice among online bookmakers.
Sportingbet provides competitive odds overall. It often offers excellent value odds for basketball, baseball and American football, and it’s worth watching for favourable horse racing odds.
Sportingbet offers a very wide selection of football markets, with lines on just about all major leagues and notable minor leagues. Its football odds range from average to very good, so keep an eye on those too.
It’s worth mentioning that despite its generally attractive odds for other sports, Sportingbet’s golf odds tend to be on the low side.
Sportingbet specials & promotions
Sportingbet offers customers a risk free bet on sign-up. For details of the associated terms and conditions, see our Sportingbet sign-up offer page.
Once you’ve signed up with Sportingbet, you can participate in its tiered, points-based system to earn bonuses on a weekly basis. The more you bet in a week, the higher the value of the bonus you’ll be given. The bonuses are determined each Monday.
In addition, Sportingbet is known for its regular, attractive football specials and bonuses, and for event-specific offers across a range of sports, including horse racing, tennis and golf.
Sportingbet’s web site has a clean design and uses an attractive colour scheme, with its distinctive turquoise background. Many punters find the site “warmer” than those of competitors. However, the site is graphics-heavy and may be slow to load if you don’t have a fast internet connection.
The site includes a well-designed bet slip, which lets you review previous bets you’ve placed as well as details of your current bets.
The site also includes an excellent live betting platform. It’s clear and easy to use, and provides live betting on a wide range of sports and events. It also provides live streaming, not just for football and horse racing, but also for sports like tennis, golf, ice hockey and cricket.
Sportingbet offers a good mobile betting app for iPhone and iPad users. The app is available from the iTunes App Store and provides access to all the key features on the desktop site, including live betting and live streaming.
Unlike the majority of its competitors, Sportingbet doesn’t have a separate app for Android. However, if you navigate to www.Sportingbet.com on any mobile device, including an Android device, you’ll automatically be redirected to a mobile version of the Sportingbet desktop site.
Sportingbet customer service
Sportingbet attracts nothing but praise for its friendly, efficient customer service, which is available via phone, live chat and e-mail. We’ve found the team’s response times to be among the best, with queries resolved speedily and in a professional manner.
Supported payment methods for depositing and withdrawing funds include all the usual options, from recognised credit and debit cards to e-wallets like NETELLER and Skrill, and bank transfers.
Sportingbet ranks high for its typically fast pay-out times. If you use an e-wallet option to withdraw funds, they’ll typically reflect in your account within a matter of hours (and definitely within 24 hours).
The Sportingbet site is currently available in 23 languages.
The bottom line
Sportingbet is a solid, all-round option for sports betting, with especially favourable odds for American sports and regular, attractive specials for football, horse racing and other sports. We recommend adding it to the set of online bookmakers you use.
This is our Sportingbet review, a full look at their services and a guide to their operations.
They are a well-established betting operator and in this review, we will rank all aspects of what they have on offer.
Sportingbet got their start back in 1998 and they have grown to operate across 26 countries worldwide.
They initially started off with the acquisition of Paradise Poker and in 2006 they sold all of their US holdings to private investors.
A year following that they ditched Paradise Poker and then they pushed forward with sports betting branding and products.
In 2012 there came perhaps the biggest point in the history of Sportingbet.
That is when William Hill and GVC Holdings acquired them, with William Hill snapping up their Australian and Spanish operations and GVC holdings taking the UK interests.
Betting markets and odds quality 7/10
For sports betting, Sportingbet showed up really well. There is a lot of coverage in their sportsbook.
It’s a broad spectrum from around the globe across a wide range of sports as well.
Basically, put then, this Sportingbet sportsbook review starts with a comprehensive examination of their sportsbook.
The sportsbook is navigated by a usual left-hand menu and that itself is separated into a couple of different sections.
At the top, the Sportingbet menu is separated into a ‘Highlights’ section, which as the name suggests, brings the biggest of the current action into the limelight for some quick access.
The rest of the menu then sits beneath, which isn’t automatically alphabetized either.
There is a button to click on a Menu A-Z which brings a pop-up into the middle of the screen to list all sports.
However, due to the layout and organisation of Sportingbet, it’s not likely to be a usual thing to ever have to go through that at all.
There is so much going on in the home page of Sportingbet. Right on the home page, there are quick links at the top to the big sports betting action.
There’s a dedicated live highlight section as well as upcoming events and each of those sections have their own horizontal menus as well, so navigation on the site is superb.
Right at the very top of the Sportingbet website, there is another menu. There are links everywhere to enable punters to get around the site quickly.
The very top main menu has the big sports there for quick links like football, Esports and horse racing.
So there is a stack of variety at the Sportingbet online sportsbook. That is of sports covered and of markets within each of the sports.
Along with the sports as well there is good extracurricular stuff like novelty wagers and virtuals going on.
We will cover more aspects of the sportsbook and features as we go through this Sportingbet betting review.

Sportingbet Football Review
Football betting is strong at Sportingbet. They cover a lot of competitions and markets.
First of all though in this Sportingbet sportsbook review, we have to say how well presented the sportsbook is.
Clicking on the football betting section from the menu brings up both the currently live and the big upcoming games that are going to be happening soon.
Not only is there the listing of matches, but really quick and easy access can also be taken right there without having to actually go into a match.
In the Highlights section of the football listings, for example, the match outrights and the main Over/Under line is presented as well.
Each of the columns on the presented football coupon can be changed.
So you could, for example, see all of the Draw No Bet or Handicap 0:1, or Both Teams To Score options for all of the games in the Highlights section.
So the Sportingbet sportsbook has found a really creative and concise way to bring accessibility to their football betting markets.
There is a tremendous amount of variety in matches anyway in terms of markets. There are easily 70+ pre-match markets on a lot of games.
You can, of course, click on an individual game and raise all the markets for that.
But for this Sportingbet review, we really liked the ability to quickly see other markets other than the outright on a whole list of matches, with just a quick click of the menu.
That was a big, user-friendly feature that this Sportingbet in-depth look couldn’t go on without mentioning.
Going into an individual match, all of the markets within are listed in blocks in a two-column spread.
There are quick links to the more common football markets in a game like the Number of Goals, Correct Score, Halftime and there was a nice Run of Play market as well.
It’s all easily-readable because the background of the sportsbook is white, allowing for a lot of clarity.
The other thing for which the Sportingbet bookmaker rating is going to be high for their sportsbook is due to the amount of stats that they have going on.
Going back to the main coupons there is readily accessible access to statistics.
For football betting at Sportingbet, they do offer Enhanced Accas which will show up directly in the sportsbook. Or for a quicker oversight, take a look in the Promotions page.
Sportingbet Racing Review
There is plenty of racing available at Sportingbet UK.
There are a lot of international racecards along with the expected domestic ones from the UK and Irish racing all available.
All in all, there is a no-frills sort of feel about Sportingbet, it’s just a very well-presented, simple and uncluttered betting platform.
We liked how horse racing was presented.
There are simple links to the day’s racing, the next day or Futures & Specials.
If a horse is clicked on a race card there will be basic form stats that are raised, such as weight, age, official racing etc.
There is also a menu link to a Forecast coupon on each of the racecards as well.
It’s all very good is the Sportingbet horse racing. In fact, the races in the Sportingbet sportsbook and stands up very well in comparison to plenty of the other industry heavy hitters like Sky Bet, Paddy Power and Betfred.
The racing section does perhaps lack the overall insights of the superb Sky Bet racing coverage, but it’s not disappointing by any regards.
It is easy to build multi’s inside of the Sportingbet bet slip. Incidentally, there is a minimum of 0.50 GBP wager to be placed on horse racing with the bookmaker.
So all in all, there is a good solid racing product. The operator does run Best Odds Guaranteed as well on racing.
So wherever you see the BOG icon (it’s orange) if you take an early price and the SPO is bigger, Sporingbte payout at the bigger odds.
The ability to customise the view of the Sportingbet sportsbook is a great feature
Sportingbet Esports Review
Sportingbet have coverage of Esports betting. There is a link to the section in the top menu so it does have a decent place of importance with them.
Once you are in the Esports betting section at Sportingbet then you can filter things by Competition or by Calendar.
The latter was actually a nice touch which is worth a mention in this Sportingbet UK reviews focus on Esports.
There was good competition coverage (accessed by clicking the Competitions menu).
In our experience, the Competitions menu was the best way to really get to the heart of Esports betting at Sportingbet.
There is an extremely broad coverage that they deliver from around the world.
At the time of exploring for this Sportingbet review, there were over 100 matches in their Esports section.
That ranged from Counter-Strike, Dota 2, League of Legends, Overwatch and Starcraft.
The bigger leagues like Dota 2 ESL One, of course, were the ones that had a lot more coverage in them.
One thing we did notice is that the variety of bets beyond the outright match winner market on a lot of the Esports fixtures was not that extensive.
Sportingbet North American Sports Review
Another aspect of the Sportingbet sportsbook that struck a good chord was the coverage of North American sports.
That’s the likes of NBA Basketball, MLB Baseball, NFL American Football and NHL Ice Hockey.
We found the Sportingbet odds to rank very well in these sports, compared to other bookmakers.
They come in strongly with a variety of markets here across all of those sports.
One thing that is noticeable is that they are very good for futures in North American sports.
That is actually something that the Sportingbet UK sportsbook is good for, across a lot of sports. Another of their strong points in regards to those North American markets is their handicap options.
We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of options that we found in the novelty bet genre at Sportingbet.
There are good political options there from both domestic and international options. That covers the major and common electoral markets.
But even more impressive was the options that were in the entertainment arena. From Big Brother, Let’s Dance, Masked Singer to Norwegian Idol and the big Academy Awards, Next James Bond and even the Razzies.
So the novelty betting markets scored strongly in the Sportingbet sportsbook.
Sportingbet Sportsbook Summary
There is a lot to enjoy in the Sportingbet sportsbook. The design and layout of the whole thing is superb.
It’s superbly clean and so easy to navigate around thanks to all the menus that they have just about everywhere.
There are some really nice little touches in there like being able to see sub-markets in football betting applied to a whole coupon.
It just allowed for quicker betting. Variety is right out of the top drawer as well and the Sportingbet racing section is full and functional if not laden with features.
So our Sportingbet bookmaker rating does give the sportsbook a high score. It is a very, very solid platform and it is simplicity at its best.
But there is plenty more that we found as we experienced Sportingbet that complements the sportsbook, such as features. We will explore more of that in this Sportingbet review.
Their football margins were comparable to a lot of other big online betting sites. Depending on the level of football matches there was an average range between 5% and 7.5%.
The lower margins, of course, are going to be on the more popular fixtures like in major tournaments and leagues like the Premier League and La Liga.
So in comparison, looking at a broader range of sports and markets for a bit of odds-comparison, Sportingbet were about average in margins.
There were instances when the odds did fall short in value we felt, and the margins started to creep up towards the higher end of things like on tennis and rugby.
Sportingbet sign up bonus, free bets & current promotions 8/10
There is a Sportingbet bonus which new customers can avail themselves of. This what Sportingbet phrase as a £10 backup bet, which is a money back as a free bet type of bonus.
New customers who register an account need to make a deposit and make a sports bet of a minimum of £10 on the new account to qualify for the Sportingbet welcome bonus.
Naturally, if that first bet wins, no free bet will be given. However, if it does not win, a Sportingbet free bet up to the value of £10 will be issued.
We Love Accas
A popular Sportingbet offer is their We Love Accas promotion. Sportingbet give out a £5 Free Bet every week, for qualifying customers who bet £20 on Accas.
Opt-in is required for the promotion. Then bet £20 on Accas from Monday-Sunday. A qualifying acca has to have at least four selections and at minimum odds per selection of 1/2. 18+ | Full T&Cs apply
There is a standard fare of some football acca insurance that is available at Sportingbet. If just one leg of a qualifying accumulator lets down a bet, then the operator issues money back as a free bet up to £10.
Opt-in is required and all selections have to be greater than 1/5 (1.20) odds. There is a minimum stake of £5 and the free bet return for the offer is up to £10 max.
Free bets through the Acca Insurance offer can only be used on football.
Both Teams To Score ACCA
Punters can get FreeBets on your BTTS Accas at sportingbet. If your BTTS Acca (min 4 selections) wins, Sportingbet give you a FreeBet based on your stake, up to £10.
In-play betting 8/10
The in-play section at Sportingbet is accessed through the top menu.
But as mentioned earlier in this Sportingbet review, there is a dedicated live in-play selection on the main home page.
This is another good section of the Sportingbet website.
We found a good variety of markets available as you would expect from any bookmaker really.
For this Sportingbet review we saw Basketball, Table Tennis, Tennis, Volleyball, Snooker and Cycling when we looked.
There was also a Specials section, which at the time had the New York Lottery numbers as a live betting market.
There are excellent features going on with Sportingbet live in-play betting section.
First things first you can see which of the currently active events can be watched in-play because of a small TV icon next to the listing.
Fluctuations in prices are easily spotted, with a corner flashing either red or green, depending on which way the odds have shifted (lengthening or shortening).
The in-play section is very well organised, it’s clean.
All of the odds sit in their own individual boxes for clarity.
The live scores sit right there next to the market and so it is a neat product overall.
But let’s go ahead and look a little more at Sportingbet UK reviews of some different in-play sections.
A click on the live football and there are four menus available so that you can customise what you are seeing in terms of markets.
Presented as default at the match outright, over/under and handicaps.
As with the pre-match markets in the sportsbook, with in-play football betting the same customisation can be done in changing what is seen on the coupon.
So you can look at all of the current in-play matches and see the BTTS prices on them for example, just by changing the menu.
It’s another great, user-friendly touch that they should be commended for. We can see how this could easily be a time-saver than having to actually go into an individual match to get to the market.
If you click on a match that is being live-streamed, the access will be right there on the screen in a media box, which in no-way interferes with what you are seeing on the main area of the markets listing.
There are also current statistics available if you want to look, or as an alternative to a live stream.
To the volume of bets that were available for a given match.
Well, that was pretty good as well.
A fixture from the Russian top flight had over 40 bet options available, but then when you get to more major stuff like the Champion League for example, you can expect that to go up to double that amount and even more.
As we will touch on later in this review, all these excellent design features make for a great in-play experience on mobile too.
Because of a couple of things, we liked the live tennis experience that was at Sportingbet.
The first thing is how clear the markets were to read and again, the touch of being able to customise the view of markets that you required.
Throw in live streaming as well and there was much to enjoy for tennis betting.
But the thing that really took it on beyond all that and helps to give the overall Sportingbet in-play rating a good score, is the market variety.
Tennis is perfect for in-play betting because you get breaks in the action. Sportingbet just felt quick and very responsive when it came to market changes and odds value.
There were great markets in there for the next game-winner, and proposition bets on whether a game would go to deuce or not.
There were tiebreak proposition bets, total sets bets and game bets and all topped off with a good little stats, scores and info and the in-play tennis betting at Sportingbet ranked highly for us.
Extras & features 7/10
Next in this Sportingbet betting review, we are going to look at some of the features that accentuate the whole experience there.
Those extra touches that go beyond the sportsbook or indeed, boost the quality of the sportsbook even.
There is a media box at Sportingbet which we will put into focus first of all. This sits on the right hand side of the screen.
It looks innocuous at first but then you notice what it does. That is where any live stream will happen and in there you can scroll through a menu of all the live action.
If there’s not a live stream for an event, or of course if you just don’t want to watch it, then that is where statistics, like league tables or current statistics in live in-play betting can be raised.
The fact that it just sits there in its own little box, in its own little space is nice because it is so accessible and so unobtrusive.
The other two features, but standard ones across the industry now are the Build a Bet and Cash Out options.
Build a Bet
There is a Build a Bet option at Sportingbet and this is available only on pre-match football matches.
There is no cash out option on a Build a Bet wager.
The tool basically lets you create a wager of your won from preset markets. A minimum of two and a maximum of eight picks can be done for a single match.
There is a Cash Out function at Sportingbet then which is available for single and multi only, which just means that system bets don’t qualify.
The easiest way is to just visit the My Bets tab in the bet slip to see which open bets it can be used on.
Edit My Bet
There is an Edit My Bet tool to be found. This is available across a range of selected events and markets.
It can be done pre-match and with live bets as well.
The Sportingbet Edit My Bet tool simply allows for the addition or subtraction of options to an open bet, such as adding an extra leg to a running acca.
Sportingbet Live Streaming
Live streaming is a big part of the Sportingbet experience.
For our Sportingbet UK reviews of different parts of their sportsbook, we realised just how many of their events were up for live streaming.
There is no fee attached to a Sportingbet live stream, you will just need an active/funded account with them.
The range of sports then that we came across for live streaming was impressive.
Of course there was football there, but also basketball, tennis and event Esports as well, which we thought was an excellent addition to the services.
Although we have mentioned it before in this Sportingbet bookmaker review, we have to again stress that the streams sit in their own Media box.
That just easily controls the viewing accessibility, making it so easy to handle.
The live streaming is an absolutely great feature of the Sportingbet website, another good design touch.
You can just land on the main sports betting page of Sportingbet and the Media box is there and you can scroll through the live stream options.
Even when you have picked something from a live in-play market to stream you can go and browse around the rest of the sportsbook, as well as the in-play wagers for that stream without losing sight of it.
It’s great and something from the Sportingbet player review perspective, that stands out.
Sportingbet Virtual Betting
There is virtual betting at Sportingbet. There is a direct link in the main menu and this opens up its own section on the main screen.
The options for Virtuals betting with them during our look, was football, greyhounds, cycling, tennis and horses. So there was a decent range of virtual sports betting that some other bookmakers have.
The graphics are great incidentally and the betting is straightforward and simple.
There’s not really a difference in terms of how to bet on virtuals as there is on betting on regular sports.
Horses can be backed each way for example, and options for a virtual match include not only the outright, but the number of goals that are going to be in the game and the correct score.
You just add selections to your slip and place a stake.
Virtual betting at Sportingbet runs 24/7 and with only a few minutes between each match or race.
There is good statistical support running throughout the Sportingbet website.
Next to the markets there are icons indicating that you can click through to stats for a given game.
There are also statistics available through the Media Box as well, which we have mentioned in his review.
All in all, there is a really good statistics service at Sportingbet.
Sportingbet payment options - deposit and withdrawal methods 8/10
There are a lot of payment methods available at Sportingbet. There are options through Bank Transfer, fast bank transfers through Trustly, Cards, E-Wallets including Apple Pay and Paypal, Skrill, paysafecard and debit cards.
Once a Sportingbet sign up has been done, head to the Deposit section of the Cashier and select your country if need be.
That will bring up all of the available deposit methods that are there at Sportingbet. It is a vast selection.
How to make a withdrawal at Sportingbet
After a Spoortingbet login just head to the Cashier section and select Withdrawal.
A list of withdrawal options available to you will come up and then you put in how much and where you want it to go to.
Sportingbet will then email a confirmation number. Sportingbet processes all withdrawal requests which could take a couple of days.
You can only withdraw back onto the card of eWallet that was used to make the deposit.
There is an option to cancel or even modify a withdrawal request before it has been approved/processed.
Sportingbet Withdrawal Methods:
*Debit cards only
10Bet Deposit Methods:
User-friendliness of website & mobile app / mobile version 8/10
The user-friendliness of the Sportingbet website is frankly, very, very good.
The layout is clean and straightforward, as is the betting platform.
The organisation and navigation around the website has been well thought out and it all ranks very highly with us.
The website was responsive, quick and there are so many good little features, like the coupon menus, media box and the organisation of the betting slip right at the bottom of the screen, which makes for a very solid product.
The user interface makes the site very easy on the eye.
There is nothing flashy about the website at all, but that just helps with the speed of operation there and browsing through markets.
Just to close out this part of the Sportingbet review it is worth mentioning how functional the bet slip was.
Sportingbet App Review - 8/10
There is a Sportingbet app download which is available for both iOS and Android
. They can both be directly downloaded from the Sportingbet website, while the iOS version is available in the App Store.
Within the apps a customer can get the full experience of all of the betting markets on the go.
In particular, the in-play betting experience does cross over very well.
The in-play options via the Sportingbet app allows quick betting action on an impressive user interface
Part of that is because of their great graphical interface relating to the action that is happening.
The layout is very responsive on the Sportingbet app and there is all the coverage there that exists on the main site.
They do have mobile exclusive offers like best odds guaranteed on Premier League prices.
A Sportingbet sign up can be done directly through the app and the Sportingbet new customer offer can also be picked up there.
In summary, the Sportingbet app is very clean and easy to use and it’s possible to use their build a bet feature, price boosts, cash out and other promotions there as well.
Sportingbet Customer Service & Support, Security & Reliability 7/10
There is a help section available and we found it to be quite extensive.
All areas that we could think of were covered in there, with notably a very good section about payments and deposits to accounts.
Once you have logged in at Sportingbet there will be an option to contact them directly with any questions to which you can’t find the answers to on the website.
A Sportingbet live chat is available to connect with an agent.
Our Sportingbet review rating: 9 / 10
We will wrap this Sportingbet customer review up by saying that they have always been one of those betting platforms which just operates very well.
It is a no-nonsense platform and the design of the sportsbook and apps are both fantastic.
They have made things so easy to get around and find markets and everything is presented so clearly.
It’s very easy to read everything on the website and this helps the transition over to either their mobile website or Sportingbet app.
The usual betting staples in terms of features are there like live streams, bet builder and virtual betting and it all just forms an excellent service.
There are no bells and whistles of big features and big promotions.
They just offer a very straight forward service for their customers, which is good!
It’s just basic betting done very well and there’s nothing wrong with that at all. They get a wonderfully high bookmaker rating from us.

Sportingbet Casino is on the Electraworks platform and it is licensed by the Gibraltar Gambling Commission and the UKGC. They provide a limited range of games from Net Entertainment and Quickspin. Their site features a blue and grey colour pallet and their logo features their name in blue and red.

The Bwin/Party group extend to cover Bwin and Party casino alongside the iGlobal Media group that owns several Playtech casinos and the Electraworks group.
Historically these groups have been consistent in their refusal to discuss player complaints with 3rd party dispute mediation services (like ThePOGG). This has resulted in a poor reputation with these services. However in late 2017/early 2018 we have managed to establish a line of communication with this group and we have been assured all issues will now be resolved. In the intervening time period they have held to this commitment alongside having maintained a consistently low level of complaints.
Sadly, as of May 2020 this group has reverted to being non-responsive to player complaints submitted to this service.

SportingBet hold the following gambling licenses :
- United Kingdom Gambling Commission - The UKGC are widely considered to be the most reputable regulators involved in the online gambling market. They do not manage complaints for players directly, instead requiring their operators to appoint a UKGC accredited Alternative Dispute Resolution service. As such the value of this license for players depends largely on the professionalism of the ADR service utilised. SportingBet currently use IBAS.
- Malta Gaming Authority - In our experience the MGA is the best regulatory authority in terms of the management of player complaints. Their complaints team is open and cooperative in the discussion of player issues and we've managed to resolve a number of credible player issues working with the MGA. You can find further information regarding this regulator's complaint policies.
- Gibraltar Gaming Commission - The GGC is one of the more reputable online gaming regulators, but we are aware of a serious software issue where they failed to uphold their own technical standards. You can find further information regarding this regulator's complaint policies .
